EyeTV Remote offers comprehensive and dependable control over your EyeTV device, streamlining the management process through a user-friendly interface. Its utilization of your wireless network eliminates common issues associated with infrared remote controls, providing consistent connectivity regardless of room location.

This application allows users to operate their EyeTV system from virtually any part of the home or even from the comfort of their seating area. The interface features large, easy-to-press buttons that are clearly identifiable on the table surface, with adjustable sensitivity settings to prevent accidental presses during casual use.

Common commands can be executed with a single tap, while less frequently used functions are accessible via swipe gestures in four directions. The included help screen offers detailed explanations of each button’s functionality, enhancing user familiarity.

<li>Skipping forward and backward with options for standard, custom durations, or frame-by-frame navigation</li>
<li>Fast forward and rewind functions</li>

<li>Support for multiple TV tuners (note: not available with EyeTV version 4.0)</li>
<li>Limited program guide displaying current and upcoming shows; extended guide available when supported</li>
<li>Control over player windows, including opening, closing, and maximizing</li>
<li>Tabbing between multiple windows (not available with EyeTV 4.0)</li>
<li>Volume adjustments including mute option</li>
<li>Suspend computer operation</li>
<li>Password protection feature to restrict access for children</li>

An essential component is the JazzRemoteServer software, which must be installed on the MacOS system running EyeTV. This companion application is available for download at www.jazzmedia.com.au/eyetv/.

The system requires MacOS (OS-X) version 10.9 or later, EyeTV version 3.6.8 or newer (up to version 4.0). The iOS device must be connected to the same network as the computer hosting the EyeTV software.

It is important to note that some advanced functionalities are restricted when using EyeTV 4, due to inherent limitations within that version.
